Notes:
- If payroll is processed before the end of the pay period, there is nothing to prevent punches from coming in after payroll has been processed.

If an admin or supervisor login is shared, anyone with access to their credentials can see their Pay Info screen.
- Changes to pay rates will apply to the entire pay period, not from the date of change forward. Because of this, we advise that pay rate changes are only made at the beginning of a pay period.
Getting Started
What if my company is not fit for the beta group?
Our beta payroll features will only support basic features and processing. We will be adding more advanced processing options and features over the following months. Because of this, not all interested companies will have their payroll needs met in our beta solution. If your company needs more advanced options, we will contact you once these options are available.
How does my company get approved to process payroll?
If you are selected to participate in the beta group, we’ll ask that you onboard your company using a payroll onboarding wizard within uAttend. Once we have received important company information (demographics and bank account information), one of our payroll specialists will contact you to gather additional important information.
What are my next steps once approved for payroll?
A welcome email will be sent detailing the next steps. Your payroll specialist will work with you to gather information required to get setup for payroll. Some of the required information includes: your company logo and signature for checks, additional tax information, ACH authorization, employee details and historical payroll details.
If my company is paying using paper checks, what check stock should I purchase?
The uAttend integrated payroll system requires a 3-part check stock with the check on top and fold lines on the sides. You can open the file attached to this article to view an example. How do I get started?
Choose Get Started on the Payroll tab within your uAttend account to begin onboarding your company for payroll. One of our payroll specialists will contact you to help complete the onboarding process.
How do I switch from my current payroll provider?
Our payroll experts will guide you through the process to get you up and running quickly. We will work with you to collect all necessary paperwork and existing payroll data to migrate to uAttend Payroll.
General Information
What roles and pay types are supported?
Anyone in uAttend (with or without a timecard) can be paid via the payroll feature. Employees can have a salary or hourly pay type, while supervisors and administrators will be set to a salary pay type.
Only my hourly employees are in uAttend. How will my salary employees be paid?
We’ve added support for salary employees in uAttend so all employees can be paid via uAttend payroll. Once your company is approved for payroll, you can add your salary employees to uAttend (People > Add Person). When processing payroll, you’ll review timecard hours for employees with timecards and calculated hours for your salary employees, with the ability to adjust hours if needed.
Who in my company can process payroll?
Initially, we will only support permissions for one person in your company to process payroll. This permission is assigned automatically to the person who completed the payroll company onboarding wizard. If you need to update this permission to be assigned to a different person in your company, your payroll specialist can assist.
What if I need to change my pay period in uAttend?
Updates to pay periods will recalculate past timecards. Please contact support to discuss detsilas regarding updating your pay period details.
How many payrolls can I process each month?
Your monthly subscription includes unlimited payrolls.
How do my employees get their paystubs?
Your employees can view/download their paystubs from the uAttend employee portal.
Will you produce W-2’s for my company even if we have not used your service for the entire year?
Yes, we will generate W-2s for your company.
Can I add my logo and signature to checks?
Yes, your company logo and signature can be added to customize your checks.
Do I automatically get Tax Filing Services with my payroll?
Yes. Tax Filing is included in your payroll subscription.
When does payroll need to be submitted to achieve my check date?
Payroll must be submitted 3 business days ahead of your check date by 5:30pm Eastern Time for direct deposits. For example, if your check date falls on a Friday, you will need to submit your payroll by 5:30pm Eastern Time on Tuesday for direct deposits.
How can I get payroll data into my accounting software?
uAttend payroll includes multiple reports which provide data that can be manually input into your accounting system. Click here to learn more about where these reports can be found in uAttend.
Onboarding
How will my employees onboard?
Once your company is approved for payroll, you can trigger an email to be sent to your employees. Your employees can use this email to provide the details required to get them set up for payroll. These details include personal information (ie. legal name, address, SSN), tax information, and bank account information for their direct deposits.
Running Payroll
How is timecard data used for payroll?
Timecard hours (for people with timecards) will be displayed for review during the first screen in the process payroll flow.
• Hourly employees will show a sum of hours by pay code, based on their timecard punches for the selected pay period.
• Salary employees with timecards will display their calculated REG hours and values from their timecard for the remaining pay codes.
Salary people without timecards are supported in the second step of the process, where calculated REG hours are displayed with the ability to edit hours by pay code as needed.
How will my timecard hours show during payroll?
Payroll is processed using hour values rounded to the hundredth. For accounts that use time settings other than hundredths, time will be translated to hundredths for payroll processing.
Special Processing
What if I need a special pay run for a terminated employee, a bonus, or a commission?
The beta product will only support standard pay runs, using the pay codes already supported in uAttend. Please contact support at (800) 518-8925 for assistance with exceptions.
Billing
Can I pay with a credit card?
Payroll processing is supported via ACH only at this time.
When will I be invoiced?
Payroll monthly fees are invoiced separately from uAttend monthly fees; however both invoices should be processed on the same day.
