    Welcome to your uAttend Administrators and Supervisors Dashboard

    The Administrators and Supervisors dashboard has a number of available widgets that allow you to manage time and attendance on you uAttend account. The widgets will display all employee data for Administrators while only those in responsible departments for Supervisors. 

     

    The available widgets for the Dashboard include: 

    • Punch Status: Displays the status of the employee according to the last punch.
    • Hours by Pay Period by Pay Code: Displays the hours worked for the past five pay periods.
    • Hours by Department by Pay Code: Displays the hours worked in the top five departments.
    • Monthly Tips: If Tips are enabled, it displays the total amount of Tips entered by employees in the past 6 months.
    • Monthly Expenses: If Expenses are enabled, it displays the total amount of Expenses entered by employees in the past 6 months.
    • Time Off Requests: If Time Off Requests are enabled, it displays pending request and approved the request
    • Upcoming Holidays: Displays upcoming holidays
    • Missed Punches: Displays and allows you to edit missed punches from the widget
    • On Leave: Displays employees on leave 
    • Add Punch: Allows you to add a punch to individual employees or a group of employees

    Customizing the uAttend Dashboard will allow you to select the widget reports you need most frequently.

     

    Customizing your uAttend Dashboard:

    1. Click on the Customize Dashboard on the top right of the page, the Dashboard Settings modal will open and allow you to configure the widgets to display on your dashboard.

    2. Click on the on/off toggle to enable widgets you wish to display on the dashboard. 
    3. Drag the widgets to organize in the order you wish to display on the dashboard (left to right, top to bottom).
    4. Click Save, the dashboard will display the widgets selected.

    The Punch Status widget on the Administrator or Supervisors dashboard will give you a real-time view of who has recently punched IN or OUT, or if they are currently on Break or Lunch. 

    Note: Break or Lunch only display if the employee requires to punch for Break or Lunch.

    The employees "status" is based off of the last punch that they performed. 

    You can filter out punch status' as well:

    • If you'd like to view only employees that are currently punched in, click the In circle. 
    • For a view of employees who are currently punched out, click the Out circle. 
    • To view employees currently on Break, click the Break circle. 
    • To view employees currently on Lunch, click the Lunch circle. 
    • And to view employees who missed their last punch, click the Missing circle. This will only display employees who have missed their last punch. Any subsequent punches will remove them from this list.

    To return to view all employees, click the circle that is currently selected again.

     

    The Missed Punch Widget displays active missed punches in the current and previous pay period and allows administrators to edit employee's missed punch. 

    Supervisors are only able to view and edit, if they have permissions, missed punches for the employees in their responsible departments.  

    To edit a missed punch for an employee, follow these steps:

    1. Click the name of the employee which you would like to edit a punch.Missed_Punch_Widget_1.jpg
    2. The Employees time card will display with all the punches for the day. To change a punch time, click the Edit link to the right of the appropriate punch. 
    3. To Add a punch, click the plus sign to the right of any punch.
    4. Select the department, type of punch, and then enter the time for the punch.

    To delete a punch, click the X icon to the right of the appropriate punch then confirm deletion.

    To go to the employee's Time Card details page click on View Time Card on the bottom left. 

    Click on Save to save the edits or Cancel to discard any change.

     

    Department Filter

    The department filter allows you select which departments to view:

    1. Click on All Departments and select the departments that you would like to view. 
    2. Click Apply to save changes.

    The Department Filter will display how many departments are being filtered.

    View by Date / Employee Option

    The View by Date or Employee option allows you to sort the missed punches by Dates of the pay period or by the Employees name:

    1. Click on View by Date (Default view) and select Employee. 
    2. Click Apply to save changes.

    Search Option

    You can also Search Icon to search by the first or last name of the employee:

    1. Click on the Search Icon
    2. Type the name of the employee. 
    3. The list will filter with matching name.
    4. Click on the employee's name to edit punches. 

    All Done!

    When you are done editing the missed punches the Missing Punches widgets will display a "No missed punches!" message. 

    Come back at any time to the dashboard and view if there are any missed punches for the current or previous pay period.

    The Time Off Request Widget allows Administrators and Supervisors to manage employee time off request from the uAttend Dashboard. An Administrator and/or Supervisor can approve a time off request if required to do so. Administrators and Supervisors can see if there are time off requests pending for approval on the Time Off Requests widget on the uAttend Dashboard.

    Pending time off request will display in the pending tab sorted by descending date requested. The widget will display the following information for every request:

    • Employee's First and Last Name
    • Date(s) for the time off request
    • Hours Requested, Pay code type, and Hours Available
    • Approval Status displays the approval status of Supervisors and Administrators. Hover over the Supervisor and Administrator icons to view further details.

    Quick Approval from the Time Off Request Row

    Hover over the row and the Deny  Time_Off_Widget_3.jpg and Approve Time_Off_Widget_4.jpg icons will display.

    To quickly Approve a time off request simply click on the Time_Off_Widget_6.jpg icon.

    The time off request will briefly display Approved and then it will be moved to the Approved tab.

    Quick Deny from the Time Off Request Row

      

    To quickly Deny a time off request simply click on the Time_Off_Widget_9.jpg icon.

    The time off request will briefly display Denied and then it will be removed from the list.

    Detailed View of the Time Off Request

     

    Need more information? The detailed view displays the Employees accruals balances and time off requested. In addition, you can view who else will be out the date(s) being requested.

     

        1. Click on the row to view the detailed time off requested.

        2. Edit the time off requested by typing on the line under the designated pay code. 

     

        3. Click on Unpaid or Weekend option.

     

        4. Click on Approve.

        4. The time off request will change to the approved state and be moved to the approved tab.

        5. If you made any modifications to the time off requested, click on Save and then on Yes to confirm.

        6. Please note, if both Supervisor and Administrator approval is required and an Administrator has made changes, the request will require both Supervisor and Administrator to approve changes.


     

    Deny Time Off Requested from Detailed View

     

        1. Click on Deny from the detailed view.

     

        2. Click on Yes to confirm.

    Canceling an Approved Request

     

        1. Click on the Approved tab located on the top right of the widget.

     

        2. Hover over the row you would like to cancel.

        3. Click on the Time_Off_Widget_19.jpg to cancel the approved time off request.

        4. Click on Yes to confirm.

        5. The time off request will briefly display Cancelled and then it will be removed from the list.

        6. Note: Cancelling approved requests will not remove the approved time from an employee’s time card. Once a request is cancelled, please be sure to navigate to the employee’s time card and manually remove the cancelled time.

     


     

    Canceling an Approved Request from Detailed View

     

     

    You can also cancel an approved time off request from the detailed view. 

     

        1. Click on the row you would like to cancel and the detailed time off request displays. 

     

        2. Click on Cancel Request

        4. Note: Cancelling approved requests will not remove the approved time from an employee’s time card. Once a request is cancelled, please be sure to navigate to the employee’s time card and manually remove the cancelled time.

     


        Note: If N/A displays for the available hours of an employee, you can enable to Display Benefit Accruals per employee by following these steps:

        1. Go to the Users tab

        2. Select an Employee

        3. Click on Employee Services

        4. On the User Settings section click on Edit

        5. On the Display Benefit Accrual option click on Edit

        6. Select Yes, then click Save

        7. Close modal and return to the Time Off Request widget or repeat steps to enable for other employees. 

    The Add Punch Widget allows administrators and supervisors to easily add punches for an employee or a group of employees from the uAttend Dashboard without having to navigate to the employee's time card. Administrators will be able to add a manual punch for all employees and Supervisors for the employees in their responsible departments.

    To Add a Punch, follow these steps:

    1. From the Add Punch Widget, enter the name of the employee you would like to add a manual punch in the Search Employees field.
    2. Click Search.Add_Punch_Widget_2.jpg
    3. From the search results, select the employee to which you would like to add a manual punch.
    4. Click Add PunchAdd_Punch_Widget_3.jpg
    5. Select the Punch Type. The options are: InOutBenefitBreakLunch, and Job.

      Note: The Job Punch Type will only display if job tracking is enabled in the uAttend account and the selected employee has job tracking enabled. To enable job tracking for the account, see Enabling Job Tracking. To enable job tracking at the employee level, click the Users tab, select the employee, and make sure the Job Tracking setting is set to ON in the User General settings.

    6. Enter the punch details for the selected Punch Type.
      • For InOut punches, enter the Punch Time and Date. Enter a note if applicable. Employees punched in will show an out punch for the Punch Time and Date entered. Employees punched out will show an in punch for the Punch Time and Date entered.
      • For Benefit punches, enter the date, the benefit type, and the benefit hours. Enter a note if applicable.
      • For Break punches, enter the Break Start time and Date and/or the Break End time and Date.
      • For Lunch punches, enter the Lunch Start time and Date and/or the Lunch End time and Date.
      • For Job punches, enter the Job Start time and Date and/or the Job End time and Date. Select the Job Number. If applicable, select the Job Detail Number. Enter a note if applicable.
    7. Click Save to add the manual punch to the employee's time card and return back to the Add Punch Widget.

     

    To Add a Group Punch, follow these steps:

    1. From the Add Punch Widget, select the department you would like to add a manual punch to from the Group Punch field.

    3. Select the employee(s) in the department to which you would like to add a manual punch.

    5. Select the Punch Type. The options are: InOutBenefitBreakLunch, and Job

      Note: The Job Punch Type will only display if job tracking is enabled in the uAttend account and the selected employee has job tracking enabled. To enable job tracking for the account, see Enabling Job Tracking. To enable job tracking at the employee level, click the Users tab, select the employee, and make sure the Job Tracking setting is set to ON in the User General settings. 
       
    6. Enter the punch details for the selected Punch Type.
      • For InOut punches, enter the In Time and Date and/or the Out Time and Date. Enter a note if applicable. 
      • For Benefit punches, enter the date, the benefit type, and the benefit hours. Enter a note if applicable.
      • For Break punches, enter the Break Start time and Date and/or the Break End time and Date.
      • For Lunch punches, enter the Lunch Start time and Date and/or the Lunch End time and Date.
      • For Job punches, enter the Job Start time and Date and/or the Job End time and Date. Select the Job Number. If applicable, select the Job Detail Number. Enter a note if applicable.
    7. Click Save to add the manual punch to the employee's time card and return back to the Add Punch Widget.

     

    The On Leave Widget displays employees that are on leave for the current day. Use the search option to find an employee or scroll down.

    The scheduled time off type displays, VAC, HOL, SIC, OTH, with the total hours scheduled.

    Note: On Leave Widget only displays employees that have time off approved via the Time Off Request feature. It does not display employees that have had benefit time off added manually via their time card. 

     

    The Upcoming Holidays Widget displays the upcoming holidays on the Dashboard for quick access without having to view them in the Holiday settings, refer to Setting Up a Holiday.

     

    The widget will display the name of the Holiday, Date, and if it is configured as a Working Holiday.

    The Monthly Expenses Widget displays the expenses from the past 6 months entered by all employees that have expenses enabled. 

     

    To enable to the Expense feature refer to Adding Expenses.

    The Monthly Tips Widget displays the tips from the past 6 months entered by all employees that have tips enabled. 

     

    To enable to Tips feature refer to Adding Tips.

    The Hours by Department by Pay Code Widget displays the top five departments with hours in the current pay period.

    • The hours are displayed in different color to quickly view the different pay codes. 
    • You can also click on the pay codes on the bottom to toggle on and off the pay codes displayed.

    Note: Fewer departments may display based on the number of departments in your account and whether or not those departments have any hours in the current pay period.

    The Hours by Pay Period by Paycode Widget provides graphs of the total hours worked by all the employees in all departments for the past 5 pay periods. 

    • The hours are displayed in different color to quickly view the different pay codes. 
    • You can also click on the pay codes on the right to toggle on and off the pay codes displayed.
