uText Notifications

    You can now receive Shift Alarms via uText, in addition to receiving Alarms via email, any time employees punch into their shift early/ late, punch out of their shift early/late, miss breaks, and miss lunches.

    To receive shift alarms via uText, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Settings tab.

    2. Click the Shifts link.

    3. Click the shift you would like to edit.

    4. Click the Alarms tab.

    On the Alarms tab, you will specify the alarm types that you wish to set. For example, you can set an alarm to notify you if an employee punches in over 5 minutes early or punches out over 5 minutes late.

    5. Select the number of minutes for each alarm type (Early InLate InEarly OutLate Out) under the Threshold heading.

    6. Enter the email addresses to which you would like these alarms sent, separating each email address with a semi-colon (;).

    7. Enter the phone number to which you would like these alarms sent.

    Note: Shift Alarm notifications via uText can only be sent to one phone number.

    8. In the Do Not Send uText Notifications From field, enter the start time of the time range for which you would not like the punch notifications to be sent, if desired.

    9.  In the Do Not Send uText Notifications To field, enter the end time of the time range for which you would not like the punch notifications to be sent, if desired.

    uText punch notifications will not be sent to the number entered during the Do Not Send uText Notifications time range entered. 

    10. Select the Enabled check box for Missing Break Punch and/or Missing Lunch Punch, as desired. 

    11. Enter the email addresses to which you would like these alarms sent, separating each email address with a semi-colon (;).

    12. Enter the phone number to which you would like these alarms sent.

    Note: Shift Alarm notifications via uText can only be sent to one phone number.

    13. In the Do Not Send uText Notifications From field, enter the start time of the time range for which you would not like the punch notifications to be sent, if desired.

    14.  In the Do Not Send uText Notifications To field, enter the end time of the time range for which you would not like the punch notifications to be sent, if desired.

    15. Click Save and Close.

    In addition to receiving punch notifications by email, administrators and supervisors with permissions can enter a phone number to receive immediate text notifications via uText when their employees punch In or Out.

    To be notified of employee punches via uText, follow these steps: 

    1. Click the Users tab on the main menu.

    2. Select the user's name from the list.

    3. Click the Employee Services link.

    4. Click the Edit link in the User Settings section.

    5. Select Edit next to Notify of Punch by uText.

    6. Select Yes from the Notify of Punch by uText drop-down menu.

    The Number and Do Not Send uText Notifications fields appear.

    7. In the Number field, enter the phone number to which you would like to have the punch notifications sent.

    Note: Employee punch notifications can only be sent to one phone number.

    8. In the Do Not Send uText Notifications From field, enter the start time of the time range for which you would not like the punch notifications to be sent, if desired.

    9.  In the Do Not Send uText Notifications To field, enter the end time of the time range for which you would not like the punch notifications to be sent, if desired.

    uText punch notifications will not be sent to the number entered during the Do Not Send uText Notifications time range entered. 

    10. Click Save.

    uText notifications will immediately be sent to the number entered every time the employee punches In or Out.

    Administrators and supervisors with editing rights can send employees their time card data for the current pay period via text message.  

    To set up employee time cards via, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Users tab on the main menu.

    2. Select the user's name from the list.

    3. Click the Employee Services link.

    4. Click the Edit link in the User Settings section.

    5. Select Edit next to Send Employee Timecard.

    6. Select Yes from the Send Employee Timecard drop-down menu.

    7. In the Number field, enter the phone number to which you would like to have the timecard sent.

    Note: An employee time card can only be sent to one phone number.

    8. From the Send Frequency drop-down menu, select the frequency that you would like the timecard sent. 

    The options are DailyWeekly, and Each Pay Period. If you select Weekly, the Day of Week to Send drop-down menu appears, allowing you to select the day of the week on which you would like the timecard sent.

    9. From the Send Time drop-down, select the time which you would like to have the time card sent.

    10. Click Save.

    Employees will receive their time card data for the current pay period via text message based on the send frequency and send time selected.

    To enable uText Notifications, follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your uAttend account and select My Account from the username drop-down menu.

    2. Select Edit for Optional uText Notifications

    3. Select Enable from the drop-down menu.

    To receive courtesy usage notifications, follow these steps:

    4. From the Receive daily uText usage drop-down select one of the following options: 

    • No - Do Not Send Notifications–Select this option if you do not wish to receive courtesy uText usage notifications.
    • Yes - Receive Text Notifications–Select this option if you wish to receive courtesy uText usage notifications via text.
    • Yes - Receive Email Notifications–Select this option if you wish to receive courtesy uText usage notifications via email.
    • Yes - Receive Email and Text Notifications–Select this option if you wish to receive courtesy uText usage notifications via email and text.

    5. From the Send Time drop-down, select the time you would like to receive courtesy uText usage notifications. Please note, all courtesy uText notifications are sent in CST Time.

    6. Enter the email address(es) and/or phone number which you would like usage notifications to be sent to.
     
    Note: To send courtesy usage notifications to multiple email addresses, enter email addresses separated by a comma. Courtesy usage notifications by text can only be sent to one phone number.

    Your Account Overview displays the status of uText messages sent and uText pricing for your current billing cycle.
